An Update!

First, Most of our weekends and many weeknights have been spent with Tanner and his soccer team. At the beginning of the summer Tanner tried out for three soccer teams and made all three of them. He chose to play for Allan Haycock. The team is Thunderfoot and they play in Nibley. Yes, I am a sucker and drive him from Smithfield to Nibley twice a week for practice and occasionally another time for a scrimmage... Then we have games. This team made State Premier. Premier is the Top 11 teams in the State. We play anywhere from Springville to Logan twice a week. I have not posted many pictures because I am also the mom who puts together the Web page for the boys. It is private for safety of our kids. But if any of you would like to view it... just let me know and I will invite you. During the summer the boys played three tournaments four days in a row each. The first one they took 2nd place and the second two they took first. When we started our regular season it was a shock to the boys. We were loosing every game. These teams are great! But, This last week we played Rampage on our home field and won our first regular season game! Tanner loves to play and we love to watch.... it has been a huge time commitment but what do you do when the kid loves it that much and has the talent. :)














Then, When we are not doing soccer. We do flag football with Landon.. We really enjoy watching Landon play. Brent and our neighbor are coaching. We practice with him once a night and games once a night. I enjoy the not so competitive pace. We play here in Smithfield and it is just for fun. The boys seem to really have fun. Landon is actually a pretty good little football player. He likes to hike the ball, and at our last game he played QB, caught the ball and made a catch able throw to another on of our boys. It was a great play.









I have been trying to get in better shape. So my neighbors and I have started to go to the gym daily. When, you ask, do I find time to do anything for myself.... Well, at 5 AM? Yes, I have been getting up and going before I go to work. It really has not been as hard at I thought it would be before we started. I feel better, and I think strangely it helps me to cope with everything else. I just wish I were seeing more results. Sorry.... No pics for this one!! I'll give you to good, and save the ugly!

And of course, we also have started school, try to do home work, work two full time jobs, clean the house, drag Meg around with us, and then try to find some time in between to just see and talk with each other! ( we defiantly don't get enough of that) But, we love it and enjoy watching our boys grow and accomplish things. So if I have for some reason neglected talking to any of you or have not called..... it is not because I don't love you all!!!!


Poor Brent really takes the brunt of it all. He has been trying so hard to keep up with his job and get home it time to do the rest! I love you honey! Thanks for trying so hard and being such a wonderful supportive daddy to your kids, and a great hubby to me!

I have taken pictures of the kids and worked on getting them printed and on the wall. I was very pleased in how they turned out. Brent was so smart and helpful. Of course, I knew what I wanted but not... how to make it work... Well, he figured it out for me in no time and made me some frames late at night... (thanks Babe).
The next morning after I had been to the gym at 5am (yes I am crazy) I got ambitious and put them together. I had them all done and hung before the kids had to go to school. I was so excited I had to go and ask my neighbor to come look at them. :) Anyway, I am happy with the finished project. Glad it's done!

What would we do without her?

Some funny things that Megan did this week.

This morning I was brushing her hair and she picked up Brent's deodorant.
What's this mom.
That's dads meg put it back.
I want some.
You will smell like a boy.
No, it's not for boys. It doesn't smell like boy. It smells like dad.
Well, dads a boy.
No he's not.
Yes, he is a boy, just like Tanner and Landon.
(her eyes got big and she says very worried)
Yuck, my dads a boy!


We took her to dinner last night and she tasted her food and she leans back and throws her arms in the air!!!
OH, that is SOOO good!
If only we were all that excited when our food tasted good.


She says the other day,
Mom, I love you. Your my best friend. And I like Lena, and Lissa, and Anna, and Carson, and Robert, and I love all my friends.

She asked me twice this week if I would be the sister and she could be the mom.

One of her new ones is when she is sad she will say... I want my big brother (Tanner) or I want my little brother (Landon) if Tanner is the one she is mad at.
I think it is funny that Landon in her little brother.

She is such a funny girl! She truly was a miracle baby for us... and continues to be every day.

She and Brent were talking and she says to Brent
I am the mom and my name is Stacey. Your the dad and your name is Brent.
Well, what do moms and dads do now? he asked.
They tell secrets!!

She was trying to get Brent to play, and says I am princess Ariel, and your.... The boy!
I am cinderella and your.... the boy!
I am princess sleeping beauty and your.......... the boy!


And the best one yet....
We were getting ready for bed the other night and she was laying with me in bed.... she started crying and says..... I want boobies, mom!!!
Ok.... What is that about? I have two boys!!!

Many Hands makes Light Work!

We finally got some grass for the park across the street. Brent and I saw that the grass had arrived and headed over to start putting it down. Before we knew it there were many helpers. Then the kids got home from school, and I think at one point we had thirty kids or more helping. It was fun to see them all put in some effort to get it done. All the neighbors helped. Last year we all pitched in to put the park equipment together. It is great to live here where everyone is willing to get their hands dirty and help. We have wonderful neighbors and now we have a wonderful park WITH GRASS for the kids to play at. Now, if we can get the fence finished.... I think we will be done!!!

First Day of School!

I have to admit that I really was not looking forward to the kids returning to school. I was so used to them just being there and being a part of my routine when I got home from work. I was glad that they would have somewhere to be during the time that I was gone. And I HATE MY KIDS HOME WORK!!! But, they were so excited to go the first morning it was fun. We have a new bus stop right across the street that makes it easy. As you can see I was not the only mom out taking pictures. The boys are very excited about their new teachers, and have even compared who they think will have the best year. Megan was not excited about the boys leaving. She was very very upset that she did not have on her backpack and was not on her way to school. We had to find some friends for entertainment before she would calm down. After things settled... I have to admit it was kind of nice to have that alone time at home with just Meg again.

Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary Brent! I love you so much. I am so lucky to have you in my life. You are a great father and hubby. Thanks for all the help and support. Looking forward to another 11 years and more.

Snagle tooth meets it's match!

Landon Loves corn... He has no teeth to eat it right now.... His poor mouth looks like Snagle tooth circus... but he finds a way to get it down no matter what.

A funny clip!

I found this funny clip that Amie took of the kids dancing to the singing fish up at the cabin. They were all getting into it. The most fun is to watch the back corner for great grandma Israelsen. She is getting down with the kids until she notices she is on camera. :) We love grandma.

Good things come to those who wait!

Earlier I made a post about buying the small plants and watching them grow. Well, I bought the smallest cheapest plants there were. You know, the pack of six or eight for 3 dollars. Well, this is what they have turned in to. So fun to watch them grow to be huge plants. :)

Six Lakes

Our final destination.... Six Lakes. We left Snow Mountain Ranch and headed out on our way back to Utah to Six Lakes. We decided to take a different route home due to we were told the scenery was quite pretty. We dropped down to I70 and went to Glenwood Springs. The canyon that we drove threw was very pretty. We came up on a curve and all you could see was clouds. I said to the kids "look we are at the top of the world". It was fun to drive on the roads and see new places. The Freeway went through a few tunnels and the kids thought that was neat.... It was great until we decided that the trip was going to take about two hours longer than we thought it was going to... and we had all had too much time in the car by then. Well, we finally made it to six lakes much later than we had hoped.. but it was great. The boys all fished, went out in the canoe, caught lizards and the kids had a great time just playing outside in the sage brush. Later we put all the kids in the main part of the cabin for a movie and we jumped in the hot tub. The next morning we headed out about ten after more fishing and fun. On our way home we stopped at Joel and Stephanie's house to drop off the kids...... YES!!!! We ditched them... Brent and I came home and had three wonderful days to enjoy each other, a clean house, and quiet! Brent called it our staycation... I recommend this to anyone. Now we are just back to the old routine of work, soccer, kids and cleaning but we have a lot of fun pictures and memories. Thanks for sharing with us....

Rocky Mountain National Park

We got to the entrance of the national park at about 7pm. We had only gone about 5 min in before we started to see elk. We saw hundreds of elk. We saw quite a few bulls as you can see in the pictures. The canyon was absolutely beautiful. Uncle Owen said something to the effect of it being the highest continually paved road in US or something like that. It went up very quickly with a lot of very sharp turns. The Elevation was 10,749. The picture of the top really does not do it justice. It was so pretty and the animals were amazing. At the top the sign talked about the continental divide. Where the water either went to the Atlantic or Pacific ocean. As we left the top to go down we had a four point deer, a doe and two fawn walk right across the road in front of us. The doe and babies were so kind to stand and pose for me to take my favorite picture of the night. Sooo cute... We were able to experience all of this in two hours. WOW!

Snow Mountain Ranch

That Next day we arrived at Snow Mountain Ranch at about 2:30 PM. The kids were greeted by their cousins and free ice cream and a carnival at the center of the resort. They got a lot of candy and had a lot of fun. We got moved into our cabin and ate and visited with the family. Later we took the kids swimming. The next morning after a family breakfast Brent took the boys fishing and I was stupid and went with Amie and mom to take Megan and Trevon roller skating. Then we all played minature golf, ate lunch, went rock climbing and had a fun filled afternoon. Later we took the hike to the waterfall. It was a nice hike. The weather changed about every other hour there between gray skies and sun shine with a few showers here and there. Later that night after dinner Brent and I left the boys to play with their cousins and went through the Rocky Mountain National Park.... Dinosaur National Monument

Our First stop was in Vernal. Amie Tom and their kids followed our family down. We went to the Dinosaur National Monument. We hiked up and around the loop and saw some dinosaur bones in the rocks. Tom was spotting lizards, and pot guts along the way. He and Tanner also spotted a few unmarked bones in the rocks. Then we went and ate at a Chinese Buffet and went swimming in the Hotel pool. We had a lot of fun until Landon threw up in the pool and that was the end of that. The next morning we were off again heading to Snow Mountain Ranch near the Rocky Mountain National Park. We had four hours of driving the first day and about five and a half the next. You can see that we made our best attempt to entertain the kids in the back seat with their own private movie theater. It worked pretty well, but we still got the "How much longer?" quite a bit.

AAAAGGGGGHHHH!!!!

I have a real love hate relationship going on right now. I LOVE my computer! AND I HATE IT!!! We have had to take our computer back to factory settings and lost all our programs and info and all. I hate that!!! I have been very frustrated with it. I hope that it will not take long to get back to my pictures and blogging and all my computer addictions. Hopefully I will be able to post soon about our great vacation!! Looking forward..... :)

Megan and Aubrey

When Missy Tulloss came, she and Aubrey stayed at our hose. Aubrey and Meg were freinds and Enemies. They loved eachother on minute and the next were fighting. They are too much a like. The dressed up in Princess Dresses, played around the hose, pushed the babies in the stroller and put them to bed. Then they got out Aubrey's movie player and watched a show. It was a lot of fun to have the chance to play and visit with them while they were here.

Smores anyone?

Last weekend we went to Newton with Scott, Jodie and their kids. We dropped a line in to the water and pretended to fish for a while, ate some food and later cooked up a Marshmallow so that we could go home dirtier and fatter. What a fun time. We really love to go out with the Bishops.

Rock Band

Tanner bought Rock Band with his news paper route money. Drew and Rae and the kids came over and we tried it out. Well, we may need a few more practices before we go pro.
