Day one of Izzy Family Reunion 2010

The reunion this year was at the girls camp in Heber City. We really didn't know what to expect. It really really was a fun and beautiful place. The first night we arrived we did a variety of activities. This first activity shown in to teach you trust, balance and working together. The object. Two people stand on a thin rope course that is far apart from each other. You have to lean in and against each other to be able to walk the course. The others surrounding you were there to protect you if you fell.

This next challenge was to see if we could raise the tire up to the top of the log, without letting the tire touch the log the entire way up! We have such an awesome family. It only took us a few minutes to get it put together and accomplished the challenge the first time.

The third challenge. Everyone in our group had to pass through a whole in the spider web. Each person had to use a different hole. If we touched the sides that hole was gone and we could not use it again. This took a lot of thought, trust and strength.

Fourth Challenge. Each and everyone of us had to climb on to the log one at a time and keep it balanced for 3 full seconds without falling off or letting the other side touch the ground. We passed and then they made us do it again with our arms behind our backs.

The final challenge. The 30 foot climb up, walk across the tight rope, and zip line down. I think that many of us thought this was not that high.... but many, many were quite surprised when they got to the top at how scary this was. Aunt Michelle and Aunt Kelly and Colby were the brave ones of the day. Colby has never liked heights and the Aunts were terrified of doing this but were able to accomplish it and we were so proud of them. I was also proud of Tanner. I think he thought this would be no big deal at all. He did a great job. I do think he was a little scared!

The scenery there was just beautiful! I enjoyed taking pictures. The company was wonderful as always. I have never taken for granted the wonderful heritage that I have with the Israelsen family. They all are some of the most wonderful people that I have ever had the enjoyment of knowing in my life, and I get them as family! :)

Spring Dance Recital

Megan took dance at the Rec Center this year. At the end of the year she had her spring dance recital. Megan didn't actually dance in the recital. The Israelsen family reunion was the same weekend. We decided that she would dance in the practice recital and miss the actual dance recital. We were late getting home and this was the only real chance I had to grab a few pictures of her. I stopped and had her stand outside of the school for a few quick shots. She is such a poser! I truly am not sure where she gets it, but she just starts posing changing it up like a little model. She likes to have her picture taken. BTW I hated the costume! Oh well.

Megan had the most wonderful preschool teacher (Melissa Mortensen) this year. Megan loved every day of preschool. I hope that carries over this year. She loves to be with her friends and loves learning. She learned to say the pledge of allegiance, all her letters, colors, shapes, had several field trips, and to spell and write her name (and much much more). We were very happy with her teacher. At her graduation she put together a CD for each of the kids of pictures and fun things they had done all year long. It really was fun to watch and great to have to keep. Megan had so many friends in her class. She asks to play with many of the kids she went to school with even now that it is over. Above are pictures of Lizzy (teacher Melissa's daughter) and Kenadie (my friend Katie/neighbors daughter). These three were quite the treo of very good friends this year. It's sad to think that I am just barely posting this and kindergarten starts in 3 days. Megan is very excited for school to start. She asks me every night when I put her to bed if tomorrow is the day she gets to meet her teacher. She has been asking for over 2 weeks now. I can't believe that my baby is starting public school. It is fun to watch her be so excited. I was never that mother that had a hard time sending my kids off to school. I have to admit that its not so hard for me to send her to school, but it is sad to me that we are past the stage of having any little ones around.

I have to say I don't think that I will coach soccer again. I really really loved the kids. But... Well, I didn't have a great experience. I guess I should not spread it all over the internet. I will just say that I loved the kids... Loved teaching them...BUT the kids are not the only ones involved and leave it at that.

I think Megan really enjoyed the social aspect of soccer. I am not sure she enjoyed playing soccer. I had about three kids that loved to play, the rest like Meg loved to sit out! They would offer to sit on the sideline!

Crazy Hair day

Landon had crazy hair day at school. You don't think it looks different? Well, It doesn't really work that well to die a red head's hair red! I think Landon is crazy! We love him!

May 9th, 2010 Megan's Bday and Mothers Day

This year Megan had a friend party and a family party. YES! She is spoiled. NO DOUBT! The gift that Brent and I got her was a new bike. She has grown so much she was two times to big for the little pink one she got only a year ago. I can't believe she is five.

Some funny things Meg is doing right now

• You say fernember instead of remember
• You love to dress up in dresses. Everyday you ask if you can wear a dress
• You ask for your iphones when you want ear phones in the car
• You love to play at the park. Your favorite friends right now are Kenadie and Kate that live in the neighborhood. But if they are not available you love to play with Jordan and Hailie next door, or any one child that you can find at the park
  
• You make friends very easily. Wherever we go you come over and introduce your new friend
  
• You get up early and turn on your own movie's in your room almost everyday.
• You give hugs and kisses freely. I love this and I will miss it so much when it's gone. You love to cuddle and kiss. You get very sad if someone leaves the house without a hug and kiss for MEG
• You can not wait for Kindergarten to start
• You love to color, and will sit and color for hours (something your brothers never did)
• You make us smile and feel love every day.
  
• We would just not be the same family without our little miracle. I never thought I would have a daughter. I am so glad your here Meg. I love you!
  

Megan's Bday was also mothers day this year Robyn and I got this planter for my mom.
You can't see the whole thing but it is a little chair. It was fun!
