Baby Brothers Wedding

The last of my siblings married off this weekend. My baby brother Chad got married on Saturday. We love Whitney! I was so happy for her to become my sister! Megan, Anna, and Lena were flower girls, and Robert was the ring bearer. Chad really looked to happy the whole night. It was beautiful. Whitney, her mom and sister did most of the decorations. They were done so well. The whole night was wonderful. The lovely couple jetted off to Jamaica! LUCKY!

A great mile stone for Meg... and a sad day for mom!

Last week Meg had a " Meet your teacher day!" It was short and sweet. She was so funny. When we first got there she would not go in the door, or down to her classroom. She was suddenly shy. But, Like always after a minute or two she was telling her teacher "Melissa" all about her family, brothers, dog, friends and more.

She attended her first day of preschool on Wed the 9th. I have never been the mom that would follow the school bus to school and cry. But... I was very sad when I called Brent, and he told me all about her first day. I was sad that I had not been there to get her ready and see her go off all excited. She said her first day was great. They sang and colored a ginger bread man. She really enjoys it. I guess I am just not ready for my baby to grow up. I think all of Meg's mile stones will be hard for me, just knowing she is my last!

I thought Brent did a pretty good job getting her ready for her first day! He has become quite good at matching and doing her hair!!

An update!

Well, I have been horrible about updating my blog... and for several weeks my camera was lost! Megan has taking a liking to it. The last time we found it in her toy box. This time it was under the bed.
We have been very busy! Tanner has competed in two soccer tournaments this summer. They took first place in the Cache Valley Cup and they just completed the Striker Cup in Layton. They tied another team to go the the finals. They missed breaking the tie by one goal so they did not end up playing in the finals. Landon has attended scout camp and spent many hours running around the neighborhood playing and causing trouble. Meg has done a lot of the same. Playing, playing and more playing.
Then there is Tank! I know many of you were shocked to hear that we have given the puppy thing another shot... and rightfully so! But we really spent a lot time thinking about that decision and we felt that we really could make it work. The kids have really been good in helping to take care of him. He has been a good puppy and tolerates the kids very well. With Brent being home it gave us a good chance to spend real time training him. We invested in a puppy training program and so far he is doing really well.
I am working full time at Alpine, and working on average a day to two at the wound clinic. I really enjoy the clinic, so it makes it easy to work the extra time.
Brent has applied for some grants and hopefully will be going back to school soon. We also continue to hope that one of the many many jobs he applies for every week will hire him.
Brent is going to coach Landon's flag foot ball team again this fall and they start to practice this week. He will also start back in the pool swimming with the gators tomorrow. Tanners fall season starts full swing this week also. As soon as he is done with his four times a week soccer season, He too will get back into the pool to swim. Megan will begin preschool on Sept 2nd. She is so excited. I have been thinking a lot. And although we will be very very busy with the boys and their schedules, And I have no Idea how I will pay for all of it. I would like to get Megan into dancing, or Ice Skating or something this fall.
So, Back to life... work... running... and being a Mom... The best job in the whole world!

The puppy's name

To those of you who care: The kids finally started calling the puppy Tank. Yep! This little tiny puppy goes by Tank. He has been a lot of work.... But a lot of fun! We are really enjoying him!

Help! We need to name our new puppy!

This is our little boy Yorkie! He is six weeks old. He will only be 3-5 pounds full grown. We are having a hard time trying to name him. We have come up with these four names. Please leave your vote in comment box.

On the 3rd of July we went and watched the Logan fireworks with Robyn, Scott, Colby, Kyler, Drew, Rae, Lena and Rob. We went to eat and then went up with all the crazies right outside of the stadium. There were so many people. We ate snacks visited and then enjoyed the fireworks. It's always a great time with this group of people!! Both Scott and I were playing around with our camera's to get some pictures. I got some weird pics! Check them out!

Our 4th of July!

When we got home from the reunion.... Our neighbors next door Rob and Sandy invited us over for fire, smores, and sparklers. The kids had a great time as well as the adults. We just visited and watched the kids play. We even got a sneak peek of the illegal fireworks the neighborhood was sending up! Thanks to great neighbors! I just love where we live!

EFI ??? Especially for Izzy's!

This year the family reunion was up at the cabin. It was a lot of fun. The theme was EFI (especially for Israelsen's). We had each family or couple or person who wanted to teach us all something new. We learned how to do simple car maintenance, how to cook without power ( I learned so much... simple, easy things to do), how to take a good picture, how to make scissor candy, and so much more. In the time that we were learning the kids were entertained all day. They played games out side. They had a pinata, candy, running, swimming and much more. We always have a great time with the family. The kids were just happy to catch snakes. They could do that for weeks straight. Megan even got involved in the snake catching. It was wonderful to see everyone. Each family had a cheer that they did in the morning and at dinner time. I think my favorites were Ruthann's family and Daryl's family! I was sad that I had to work as much as I did, so I could not stay over. What a wonderful family I have! Warning.... Lots of pictures and cheers !!!!
