Our spring soccer seasons!

Tanner and Landon both played soccer again this spring.

Tanner continues to play on the Thunder foot competitive team. They played in the State Premier league again this spring. They did not win enough games this spring, so they will play State D1 in the fall. They are also holding tryouts again. They are moving from having 8 on the field to having 11 on the field. If you live near by, love soccer and love to travel... Have you son come try out with him :)

Landon played to the Recreation Thunder Storm team. He had the same coach that T plays for. We had him play in Nibley due to Tanner is always down there anyway and we like the coach. He really had a great season. He grew a lot as a player having a great coach and boys around him that really know the game. They pushed him to grow as a player. They won every single game and only allowed two goals to be scored on them. Landon and his cousin Kyler will be playing in their first tournament with this team on June 30th, if anyone wants to come watch.

Megan turned 4

Megan just had her fourth birthday. I cannot believe that she is four. It truly makes me sad. We had a really busy day on the 9th (her birthday) so we had a friend party after I finished working on Friday the 8th, and later that evening we had a family party. Here are some pictures of her party with her friends. We played games in the backyard, and then had cake, ice cream and presents. Meg has friends that are older than her and younger than her so we did our best to make them all feel comfortable and have fun.

This is Megs friend Bridger.. His mom came.. that is the only way we could get Bridger there. He is younger than her and very shy, but Meg loves him and he likes her too. We really like Sandy and Bridger and are glad that they came. Meg loved the cute little poodle purse they gave her.

I just love that kids are still happy to play ring around the rosies! They really played well together.

Later that evening my whole family came over for dinner. We ate sloppy joe's and all sorts of yummy salads.
This is a picture of Meg in the outfit that my mom gave her. Grandma Peggy helped her get all dressed up and she gave us a dancing show.

I made her cake this year trying to save money. I attempted the barbie cake?? It turned out OK.

She tried to blow out her candles several times. I think that the kids behing her actually ended up getting them out for her.

Thank you to my family for supporting her on her birthday! I love spending time with my family... Your all very important to me and Megan. You helped her to feel like a princess on her birthday! Thanks!

I love you Meg! I am so glad that I have you in my life. You are my miracle baby girl. Even when your being a crazy girl and throwing fits.... I am grateful for you!

DARE!

Brent is always daring Landon to do something. This time he dared Landon to put on Meg's shorts that are a size 4T. He is pretty skinny but they were very tight on him. Landon jumped at the opportunity to make a buck! He put on the shorts and then started posing and dancing around for us. He said that if there were going to be pictures he should get two bucks, and if it was going to be on the internet he should get five. I am not sure if Brent ever pays up or not. Landon is always good for a smile! We love you Landon!

Meg Got her Glasses

We got Megs glasses yesterday. She got two pair. I am sad.. They make her look even older and she is already growing too fast.

Some of the things she said when she first got them....

Mom.. your face looks funny.
Mom... your shirt looks funny too.
She was a little apprehensive to walk at first. The first step that she took down a step she moved very slowly and asked for my hand.

As we walked outside she said... I can see the top of the mountains.
She really had never seen where the mountain ended and the sky started. She also later told me that she could see the clouds in the sky. Wow, I really am glad that we found out when we did. I feel bad that she has missed so much detail in life. It has been fun to watch her experience new things. She has adjusted well. Other than the novelty of cleaning them all the time she has been very good to just wear them. She looks at herself in the mirror a lot. I am sure it is weird to see herself and the detail and the glasses are new.

By the way... The bruises and the scrapes are from her falling down the front porch stairs a few days ago. It was interesting my reaction was... poor thing you probably couldn't see where prior to this, sadly, it was Meg you have to pay attention... GRACE! I really have nicknamed her GRACE because of that. Now I feel mean.

The nicer side of Tanner

Due to many request that I hurry and post something much less disturbing than the scary picture of tanner below.... He has graced us with a very pleasing photo and story to talk about.

Tanner has worked very hard at school for the last month on learning all about the United States and the Constitution. They had a Mock Congressional Hearing at school the other day. He and four other students had to present a point to the City Judge, Principal, Police chief, and the DARE officer. They really did a great job. I was proud of him. He did a great job speaking and answering their questions. Way to go Tanner, We love this side of you! We hope to see much more of "THIS SIDE"!

Uncle Adan so wonderfully braving the very cold snowy day to support Tanner at his soccer game! We love you Adan! He didn't have much to keep him warm. It was about 20 degrees, wind blowing, and snowing. He used Adam's sweatshirt to cover his head and ears. What a sport!

(Above and below) Tanner and Landon's day at the salon. Tanner really got into it with some highlight, the dryer and a magazine! He felt very great about himself when all was said and done. Landon decided to sport a MULLET for a while! Well, for about 2 minutes until we cut the rest off! LOL! :)

My blind baby!

A long time ago! Well, about six months ago Robyn made an assessment of Meg that her mother and father had failed to see. Meg was in Robyn's kitchen and wanted to watch TV, but was eating.. Keeping her in the kitchen. She kept sneaking over to stand in front of the TV, and Robyn would send her back. Then Robyn, looked at her and said... "Stacey She can't see!" I said oh, she can she just likes to stand in front of the TV. Well, since that time Brent and I have observed Meg squinting at the TV and other things. Megan always likes to stand right in front of the TV. We finally got her into see the eye doctor and what he had to say really was a shock to me. I thought he would tell us she was slightly impaired and may need a slight prescription. Well, he told us that she really has a severe impairment. The poor child has very poor vision. She will have to have the thick coke bottle glasses. He showed me with some lenses how Meg sees and it brought tears to my eyes. Everything is blurry to her. We had one man at the eye glass shop tell us she has never seen the color red because it would be so blurred to her it would look pink. Meg had to have her eyes dilated and it was a nice warm sunny day... after we had a soccer game for Tanner and she was very self conscious that her friends would not like her big sun shades. After several hours of shopping with Megan and trying on many glasses and fighting over the fact it needed to have a barbie sticker on the front we found two pair of glasses for her. So 250 dollars later I am preying that the glasses we bought are a little less frightening than the picture below, and the lenses don't make her eyes this big?? We should have her new glasses next week, and we will be watching her really see for the first time!

Easter Sunday!

Better late than never!

A true confession! I have not been blogging because well I work to much... and when I am on the computer I have been addicted to Farm Town on Facebook. I decided that I will have to give it up! Sorry Rae, and any other farmers.

Easter Sunday after church Robyn, Scott, Colby, Cameron, Kyler, Mom, Grandpa Branch, Amie, Tom, Brayden, Trevon, Melissa, Anna, Carson, and Adam came over. We had a nice ham and turkey dinner and after we had fun things for the kids to do.Robyn had the cute fun paper plate bunny ears for the kids to make. We even got grandpa to wear one for about 20 seconds. Then we sent the kids out to decorate their paper bag. This is something we (me and my sisters) always did as a child at Grandma Izzy's. We each contribute to the candy pool, and then make each bag the same. Each childs bag is hiden and they have to search it out. Cameron got the hardest one to find of course. Colby hid it in the sand at the park. Burried!! It took him a while buy he clued in and found it. Tanners was up in the top of the park canopy. You can see Colby hiding it in the picture below. We really had a great day. I love to spend any time I can with my family. Thank you all for coming! It's so fun to have you all to share our holidays with. Drew, Rae, Rob, Lena and Chad we missed you!

Proud Mother Moment!

Well, some of you may know and some may not... but Brent, the kids and I have not been active in the church for quite a long time. Meg never has never been to nursery and I think she has been to church only once with me. That's how long it has been. Well, Thanks to some "nudging" from my great neighbors, and some missionaries, and some small desires we have been to church twice now. After going the first week one of my neighbors, Nylyn asked me if Landon and Megan would be willing to sing with a few of the neighbor kids in sacrament. I let Landon and Meg choose and they both said yes. So for two weeks they practiced this song. I thought they both did so well considering neither of them had heard it before. Great job guys! I am so proud of you both. My mom, Grandpa Branch, Melissa and her kids came to sacrament on Easter Sunday to watch. It was great! Thank you to all who have been such great examples to me and my kids along the way.

RSL Game!!!

Last week we took the boys to the opener RSL game. We got there and the weather was not to bad. They boys however were praying for rain. Why? you ask! Well, If we got rained on during the game we would be able to go to a game in August for free. Every tiny rain drop the boys would say Oh! Yes, its raining. I kept telling them it really had to rain. Well, after the first half they got their wish. We got dumped on. It really was a lot of fun. We were prepared with warm clothing and rain gear. The game was a lot of fun. They started the game off with a goal only a few minutes in.... and won the game 4 to 1. We went with Tanners soccer coach and a few of the boys he plays with and their families. Can't wait to do it again in August! Hopefully we don't need all the rain gear then. Thanks to Adan who so kindly took Meg for the night.

A great opportunity!

While Brent is still not working, We were lucky enough to go with Drew and Rae to West Yellowstone to work a snowmobile show. Rachel works for RU Oustside. They sell all sorts of great snowmobile gear. We left last Thursday and came home on Sunday. Although we worked long days at the show and sometimes our feet hurt from standing all day... We had a lot of fun with Drew and Rae at nights. We love to hang out with them!!! And even better Brent and I were able to make some much needed money!!! Thanks Rae for letting us tag along. And Thanks to Rick..... Rachel's boss for letting us work for you at the show. It means a lot!!!
