Lena was most excited to ride the tea cups. It was one of the first rides of the day.
After the carousel and many other kids rides, I decided that we should ride the Matterhorn!!
I love the Matterhorn and all other scary and crazy rides. Megan loves them too. Grandma could so without... and you can tell by the look on Lena's face that she really did not like it. She said she did not like the scary snow man!
I hate the "It's a small world ride". But I decided that I needed to make up with Lena, so I went. And I have to say, it was more fun with the girls. When we went with our boys they didn't like it either. But the girls loved it. Their little faces just lit up! Lens said "I like the angels" and Megan loved all the little girls! Disney Land is just a different experience with little girls.
Nest up... Toon Town!!! I love Toon town... I just love how every single building and doorknob are blown up! It is just fun to look at! I think for sitting and watching it is my favorite place in Disney Land. The rides are not my favorite... but how it looks is! It did start to rain a bit so we stuck rain poncho's on the girls. Luckily a lot of the rides here were indoors. We had a lot of fun, then we stopped for a snack!!
Jail time! It is a must in toon town!
We had a blast stopping at all the shops trying on hats and taking pictures. Another thing that was different. Brent would have been having heart failure by now shopping and watching them pick things up off the racks and trying them on. The boys would have been bored and on their way to the next big ride. But Grandma, the girls and I really enjoyed the slow pace and really soaking in the little moments! Plus, We just took a picture of every hat that we wanted to buy... and then put it back. Saved us a lot of money.... but we have a lot more pictures of hats and stuff than I put here!
Goofy is always great! Just love him!
The girls were very excited to go to Minnie's house. They had their own tea party there.
Then we went over to Pooh's Corner! We rode the rides there and shopped the shops. I bought a cute purse there, and mom bought herself a fun bracelet and the girls huge lollipops!
Next up! Me and Meg's favorite part! SPLASH MOUNTAIN!!! Meg was nervous the whole time we waited in line. I tried to prepare her.. and still keep her calm. As we were going for the first part of the ride, she was loving it. Then the 50 foot fall was creeping up. Right then I was a little nervous that maybe I should not have brought her. She barely met the height requirement. But it was to late. In the picture I cannot tell who was more scared. Her or me??? When all was said and done, SHE LOVED IT!! She still says it was her favorite ride. I guess she is a lot like me. It does scare her, but we love it anyways!!!
When Katie was so kind to book this vacation for us... We decided to go all out. We decided we would pay the extra money, and let the girls have dinner with the princesses. It wasn't to bad. We paid 35 dollars a person for dinner. My mom and I decided that it was worth it. The line to meet them in Disney Land was 2 hours long. And It was Hi, take a picture and good bye. So we were very excited to go and eat and meet them. This was the part I had been waiting for. To watch my only daughter meet those very special princesses she was so in love with!! Were finally here!
We went down stairs and met Ariel. Then we were seated for dinner. We ordered up some diet coke. That immediately made us feet better. The atmosphere was great. There were jestures that came around and talked with the girls and they told us that soon they would be singing a song to introduce the first princes. They chose Megan and Lena to be the guest princesses that would help them in their song to introduce the first princess. We were so excited. This once in a life time special event... just got even more special. The two girls went up as they sang the song they told of how Princess Megan and Princess Lena were announcing the first princess. And out came Snow White. She went right to Meg and Lena and took their hand and walked with them to our table. Each princess would come to our table first and talk with the girls and then they would have a picture with them. I just kept saying Wow, This is great! I would recommend this to anyone! The food was outstanding. They brought us appetizers, rolls, yummy dinners. I was blown away!
If it couldn't get any better... They brought us this lovely dessert tray. I was on cloud nine! Well, The cloud nine didn't last all day! The blown away part!! Well, I am still blown away to this day... We were just getting ready to go... all full and happy... and the cute jesture... Well, He was so kind to bring me a bill. Well, Why am I supprised? Well, We did pay 35 dollars a person. There were no prices on the menu. I was under the impression that dinner was included. Well, apparently not. Appaparently we paid 35 dollars a person for our reservation??? Our dinner bill was none less than you would expect from Disney... $135 dollars later we left feeling happy, full and sick all at the same time!!!
We decided that we would go back to the hotel, swim, rest, soak it all in and come back for some more fun the next day. Again, The girls were tickled pink with the fun bus ride.
